About Me: Samuel Diz Sierpes was born in Tui (Spain) in 1986. After initial studies in his hometown, he
studied with Daekun Jang and later with Gaelle Solal at the Music Conservatory “Manuel
Castillo” in Seville where he graduated in 2009. Now he continues his studies with Alen
Garagić in Barcelona. Samuel is a prize-winner at different national and international
guitar competitions in Spain, Portugal and Italy. For his extraordinary artistic achievement he
also received a “Gold Medal” from “Curso de Temas Sevillanos”, cultural institution
acknowledged and awarded by Unesco. Apart from his performing activity he is the Artistic
Director of the annual International Music Festival “Musica en el Claustro” at the Gothic
Cathedral of Tui (Spain). He also collaborates with the classical guitar magazine "Roseta",
published by Spanish Guitar Society and works in the editor team of classical guitar forum
Guitarra.Artelinkado.
